New branding featured across a national TV advertising campaign.

In a space that's becoming ever-more competitive, Midlands based Great Little Breaks needed modernisation of not only their brand and customer experience but also internal processes.

Objective To stand out on the web in a space that has seen a huge proliferation of competitors and business disruption.

As a successful UK travel deals operator, Great Little Breaks has developed a strong business model centered around providing a selection of hand-picked, discounted short breaks.

However, it was becoming clear to the team that their brand, online experience and business processes were becoming an obstacle when competing against younger, leaner companies.

Several aspects needed to be addressed as part of a wider project and the team at Great Little Breaks were happy when our paths crossed and we were able to demonstrate success in various disciplines of digital strategy.

Strategy Working closely together to understand the unique challenges that needed to be met.

For a variety of reasons the previous incumbent of the website was not performing. A reliance on older technology, not offering a mobile experience and tired creative were all contributing to lackluster performance. 

A reliance on the superior performance of their call centre made the transition to a web based company that much more difficult as users generally used the website to source breaks and not purchase them online. 

We approached all problem aspects in an holistic way as time was of the essence and agility was needed to meet tough deadlines. 

The three areas we tackled were: 

  • Refreshed branding; the branding didn't reflect well online and needed re-developing.
  • Improved User Experience; the then website did not offer users a viable way to order breaks.
  • Back-end integrations; another layer of complexity where products are sourced 'off-site'.

Fortunately, our expertise in all of these areas helped us define a strategy in-house to utilise the right knowledge at the right time; cutting down bureaucracy and time-scales.

Outcome A proud, refreshed brand with a national TV ad campaign and continued commitment to deliver customers a great experience.

Great Little Breaks remains one of our proudest achievements for many reasons but primarily due to how the team there took to the modernisation and feel a sense of pride.

The website now performs well on all devices and does some very clever technical tricks to ensure performance of the website generally isn't affected by 3rd party integrations and load speeds.

Branding is now modern and contemporary aiding the team to grow the target audience and define marketing strategies to match.

We've innovated together and introduced market firsts such as the 'Content Hub' and social activity and continue to work together to hone and improve performance.
